Groundbreaking event for the project Student culture house: Necessary for future generations

On the morning of December 30, 2014, the units were: The Standing Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Student Union, GK Archi, An Phong Construction Company, 319 Corporation of Defense. They are together took part in organizing the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House, which is located at the Vietnam National University. Ho Chi Minh City (Dong Hoa Ward, Di An Town, Binh Duong Province).

This is a symbolic and key project. This project received much attention and support from leaders of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The project has a total construction area of 5,442 m2 including 7 floors (1 ground floor, 5 floors, 1 terrace), total investment of over 420 billion. This project is expected to come into operation in June 2016.

This is a project that will promote the arts, architecture aesthetics and direction to form a symbol for the entire national university area of Ho Chi Minh City.

This project was designed by GK Archi and Nihon Sekkei of Japan. The design is focused on the following factors: climate, natural ventilation and energy savings. In addition, this project has a lot of space to create creativity such as: The area for group activities, the area for activities “students 5 good”, the area for multi-purpose sports, the area for garden with each theme, the area indoor and outdoor multi-purpose stage.

The project is designed with 7 floors. Total construction area of project about 30,000m2 and total budget 420 billion. This project is expected to be in use by the end of 2016.

This project was built by the People’s Committee HCM City to give students HCM City, the opportunity to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the unification of the country (30-4-2015).

Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee – Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha said that the city’s leaders decided to implement the project with the view of giving the best to the development of students and the younger generation of this city.

Director of the Student Cultural House – Mr. Ngo Thanh Chung, said that many of the activities organized by this unit received the enthusiastic response of tens of thousands of students from National University and neighboring areas. Therefore, Student Cultural House at HCMC National University and Student Cultural House in District 3 will now create leverage for activities such as spiritual culture, physical training, skills … to be rich and better for students.
